The Nordic Kayaks (NK) Storm is positioned as the "intermediate downwind machine." It bridges the gap between raw speed and manageable stability, sharing the high-end DNA of the Nitro series but with a more forgiving hull. Here is the breakdown of the Storm's profile: Core Identity The "Stable Nitro": It retains the elite features and "surfing machine" feel of the Nitro but offers increased stability to help intermediate-to-advanced paddlers focus on power rather than balance. Versatility: Equally competitive in flatwater racing and fitness paddling as it is in open-ocean waves. Agility: Designed to be highly responsive and fast in transitions between swells. Sizing & Fit The Storm comes in two lengths to ensure the paddler's center of gravity is perfectly positioned: Storm 610: Features the long cockpit; fits paddlers 165cm to 200cm+. Storm 570: Shorter 5cm cockpit; fits paddlers 155cm to 195cm. Standard Equipment The Storm is outfitted with the same professional-grade hardware as the elite models: Footwell: Carbon fiber footrest with self-adjusting lines and a built-in leash anchor. Drainage: The deBrito (vs 3) foot-controlled bailer (widely considered the most efficient on the market). Steering: NK/deBrito rudder control yoke paired with a Race rudder for precise, smooth handling. Convenience: Includes a bike-bottle holder (with bottle) and a back-deck packing net.
