Nordic Kayaks (NK) Club 480 The Club 480 (internally known as the "Junior") is a specialized, smaller-scale surfski. It is the only model in the lineup specifically tailored for children, youth, and smaller-framed adults, making it the cornerstone for family use and junior club programs. Core Identity The "Junior" Specialist: Designed specifically for paddlers ranging from 130 cm to 175 cm. Purpose: Built to help younger paddlers or smaller beginners learn basic techniques, enjoy waves, or participate in club training with a boat that isn't oversized for their reach and power. Clubline Build: Uses the same robust fiberglass/epoxy resin and gray gelcoat as the rest of the Clubline. It is designed to be "insensitive" to the rougher handling often associated with youth programs or training. Weight: At 13 kg, it is the lightest of the Clubline models, making it easier for younger athletes to handle on land. Design & Ergonomics Small-Frame Cockpit: The seating and ergonomics are scaled to ensure smaller paddlers can reach the footrest and maintain a proper paddling posture. Entry/Exit Aid: Includes the signature Clubline integrated step in the cockpit, making it much easier for kids to climb in or remount after a swim. Versatility: Can be fitted with two optional carbon loading hatches, allowing the "Junior" to be used for family touring trips. Standard Equipment Despite its smaller size, it carries the full professional hardware suite: Handling: Carbon side handles plus front and rear carry handles for easy transport. Technical Gear: The high-efficiency deBrito (vs 3) self-bailer and a Race rudder for responsive steering. Adjustability: Carbon fiber footrest with self-adjusting lines and a leash anchor point. Storage: Integrated packing net on the back deck.
