The fierce rivalry between Jemma Smith and Danielle McKenzie intensified in a dramatic race. Strong offshore winds forced a change from an 11-kilometer point-to-point event to a three-lap circuit. Smith and McKenzie battled closely, with the outcome decided by a sprint up the beach.
