The Doctor 2026

The Shaw and Partners Doctor is Australia's premier ocean racing event, from Rottnest Island to Sorrento Beach (27 km), in Perth, Western Australia. It is the highlight of Shaw and Partners WA Race Week and a bucket-list crossing for ocean paddling enthusiasts from around the world.

Named after Perth's famous south-west sea breeze, the race starts in the crystal-blue waters of Rottnest Island and launches paddlers into open-ocean chop for a downwind run toward Sorrento Beach. Course direction and race-day arrangements may vary between editions according to wind and organiser decisions.
