Tigullio Ocean Racing 2026: Elite Ocean Paddle Sports in Sestri Levante

The Tigullio Ocean Racing is a prominent open-water sea kayak and ocean paddling competition held annually in Sestri Levante, situated along the Gulf of Tigullio in the Liguria region of northwestern Italy. The 2026 edition of the event is scheduled to take place over two days, from October 17 to October 18.
The tournament is organized by the local sports organization Shock Wave Sports A.S.D. in technical partnership with the international platform Paddle Worldwide and with the official support of the Municipality of Sestri Levante.
The competition is formally recognized and sanctioned by the Italian Canoe Kayak Federation (FICK), the governing body for paddle sports in Italy.
Designed to showcase high-level endurance and coastal navigation skills, the race draws both national and international athletes competing in various ocean racing categories.
The event utilizes the natural maritime geography of the Ligurian coast, providing technical open-water courses that challenge participants against varying wind and sea conditions.
