French Polynesia's picturesque island of Tahiti is preparing to welcome the second event of the Canoe Ocean Racing World Series. This highly anticipated competition follows the initial World Cup opener held in Madeira, Portugal, back in May, and will see surfski paddlers return for the next phase of the four-part global series.

Scheduled for August 1st, the World Cup race forms a key component of the Tahiti International Paddle Week 2026. The event is meticulously organized by the French Polynesian Kayak Surfski Federation, ensuring a professional and exciting competition.

The series has garnered significant international interest, attracting participants from nine nations across three continents. These include athletes representing Australia, China, France, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Italy, New Zealand, Samoa, Switzerland, and the host nation, Tahiti.
