Ocean racers and stand-up paddleboard enthusiasts are invited to participate in the upcoming International Koper Cup, set to take place in Slovenia next month. This exciting competition promises a challenging course along the Adriatic coast.

Event Details and Schedule

The race is scheduled within a two-day window, either Saturday, November 17, 2018, or Sunday, November 18, 2018. The precise date will be confirmed five days prior to the event, based on optimal downwind conditions. Competitors will also be informed about the race direction at the same time, as it will depend on the prevailing wind conditions. Starting and finishing points will be located at either KKK Žusterna or Bernardin. The race will commence from the water, covering the shortest possible line between Žusterna and Bernardin.

Categories and Equipment

• Kayaks: All types of kayaks are permitted, including wildwater, sprint, and SS1, with open categories for both men and women.
• SUPs: All types of stand-up paddleboards are allowed in an open category.

Race Day Timeline (Approximate)

• 9:00 - 10:00: Registration and bib collection at Žusterna Kayak Club.
• 9:30: Team leaders' briefing at KKK Žusterna.
• 11:00: Race commencement from KKK Žusterna or Bernardin marina.
• 14:00: Awards ceremony at KKK Žusterna.

Participant Requirements and Safety

All participants must affirm their physical fitness and ability to endure up to five hours of strenuous activity. Experience in open sea paddling is mandatory.
