ICF Expands 2026 Schedule with Eight New World Cup Events
In a strategic move to provide more elite-level competition, the ICF has awarded eight World Cups for the 2026 season. The disciplines include Canoe Sprint, Slalom, Marathon, Wildwater, and Ocean Racing. Notably, Ocean Racing will see a dedicated World Cup series with stops in Portugal and France. This expansion is designed to give athletes more ranking opportunities and to increase the media profile of non-Olympic disciplines alongside the major championships.
