The International Canoe Federation's newly elected Board of Directors convened for its first session in Antalya, Turkey, to outline its agenda for the upcoming four-year term. Germany's Thomas Konietzko, recently re-elected as ICF President, presided over the proceedings.

Key appointments and committee leadership

The meeting saw the formal introduction of new Board members: Australia's Richard Fox, Belgium's Marian Sarbu, and Hungary's Noemi Horvath. Significant leadership changes included:

• Richard Fox was appointed Chair of the Canoe Slalom Committee, succeeding Jean-Michel Prono, who retired after two decades.
• Marian Sarbu took over as Chair of the Canoe Ocean Racing Committee, replacing Colin Simpkins.
• Noemi Horvath began her second term leading Stand Up Paddling, her first as a Board member, following the discipline's elevation to a Committee.

The Board approved the proposed members and advisors for each Committee.
