Tahiti hosts Canoe Ocean Racing World Series stop

The second stage of the Canoe Ocean Racing World Series in Tahiti saw local favorite Iloha Eychenne claim gold on home waters. French paddlers, led by Hector Henot, achieved a dominant clean sweep in the men's competition. This event served as an excellent prelude for Tahiti, French Polynesia, which is set to host the Canoe Ocean Racing World Championships next year.

Women's race: Eychenne's home victory

Iloha Eychenne delivered a standout performance, completing the course in 1:45:54 to secure gold. Samoa's Anne Cairns earned silver in 1:52:47, and Tahiti's Nateahi Sommer took bronze, finishing in 1:56:09.

Men's race: French podium sweep

The men's event was thoroughly dominated by France, securing all three podium positions:

• Gold: Hector Henot (1:32:19)
• Silver: Benjamin Legavre (1:34:14)
• Bronze: Titouan Puyo (1:34:52)

U23 Men's category: Tahitian and Swiss success

In the U23 men's category, Tiamano secured gold for Tahiti in 1:40:30. Switzerland's Maurus Zullig earned silver (1:43:03), and Teariki Nouveau added another bronze for Tahiti (1:43:46).

Junior Men's category: Australia's Jacob triumphs

Australia's Beau Jacob emerged victorious in the junior men's event, clinching gold in 1:44:22. Tahitian athletes secured silver and bronze, with Teanuanua Teauroa finishing in 1:45:40 and Teahi Tuarau in 1:45:43.
