Elite paddlers gather for Atlantic Ocean Surfski Lanzarote World Cup

The 2020 Atlantic Ocean Surfski Lanzarote World Cup is poised to attract an impressive roster of the world's top marathon and surfski athletes this weekend. The competition, hosted in Spain, has drawn approximately 350 paddlers representing 19 different nations. Notably, the event will uphold fairness by offering equal prize money for both men's and women's categories.

Scheduled for February 7th and 8th, the event will feature several prominent figures in the paddling world. Among them are South Africa's Sean Rice, the reigning ocean racing world champion; Denmark's Mads Pedersen, who secured the 2019 ICF canoe marathon world championship; and South Africa's Bridgitte Hartley, an Olympic medalist from the 2012 London Games.
